Results

We hire only a tiny fraction of tutor applicants, and only after an exhaustive, multi-step process. Once hired, all new tutors go through extensive training in content mastery and pedagogy, regardless of their previous experience. By the time they meet with their first students, they are experts in the fields they teach, and they know how to adapt their teaching strategies to address each student’s unique needs and preferences. Why do we go through all that trouble? The results speak for themselves:

Average Score Improvements (5 or more completed lessons)

SAT: 220.4 points

ACT: 4.7 points

Percent of students achieving self-reported score targets: 84%

Average class grade improvement (weekly meetings): 78.4% -> 89.4%
